Subcommittee Reports:

H&I –Hello Ozark Area, H&I met Sept 11th 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at WDR. There were 12 addicts present. H&I presentations at Ozark Center have been going well. All panel chair positions are filled at this time. H&I presentations at LH are going well and all chair positions are filled. McDonald Co. Jail meeting have all been covered and are going well. Bill W. has more than completed his commitment at the House of Hop. Bill will no longer be taking meetings to House of Hope after September. We need some men to step up and take this commitment. We decided it would be easier if 3 men would each take one of the weeks instead of one person trying to do it all. In the last month, no meetings have gone in to Jasper Co. jail. On the 4th Sat. of Aug. The Chair of the men’s meeting forgot . I will be calling him to remind him from this point on. I am the chair for the 4th Sat. women’s meeting. After contacting 32 women and not being able to find anyone to go, I called the jail and told them we wouldn’t be coming. The 2nd Sat Jasper Co. wasn’t letting any meetings come in, However, before we found out jail  wasn’t going to let us in, we had the same problem as before, we couldn’t find any women to support the meeting. After much discussion at the Sub Committee meeting to do a group conscience on discontinuing the Jasper Co. Jail women’s meetings. We will all pray  about this and talk to our sponsors and other addicts and make a decision at the next Subcommittee meeting which will be at 1:30 on the Sat. before Area. I truly hope that we will fin a solution and not have to drop the jail meeting. I would greatly appreciate it if the GSR’s  would let their groups be aware of our need for support. I also need to know when Regionals are. I’ve asked everyone I can think of and my sponsor tried to look it up on the NA.org and nothing was posted anywhere about Reg. or SLACNA I need this info ASAP so I can Put in a request for time off. We elected Kevin F. as Vice Chair. At this time we still need a Secretary. If you have anyone in mind please send them to the next Subcommittee meeting. People for the1st and 3rd Thursday for house of hope needed .Thank You, ILS, Renita G.
