Subcommittee Reports:
H&I –Hello Ozark Area, I am an addict named Renita G. I went to my 1st Reg. Meeting last week. It was really interesting having other Areas report on their H&I presentations and to hear that H&I is alive and well throughout our Region. We discussed the H&I budget for this next year. Motion was made for budget to remain the same as last year. Reg H&I used 717. We will be looking at how to use the money to better support H&I at the Reg. and Area levels. I was elected Regional H&I Vice Chair which will not effect my currant Area Position as H&I Chair. On an Area level we are experiencing some problems with finding addicts to cover the H&I presentations we now have scheduled. At last Area we reported that we are having problems finding woman to support the jail meeting and were going to take a group conscience about what to do. As it happens Jasper Co. Jail has cancelled the meetings until further notice because of over crowding in the Jail. Allen F. will be talking to the Sheriff Dept. about doing meetings on a different day. Ozark Center meetings are going well. LH meetings have dropped off. 2 chairs were no shows no calls. They are being replaced and a new liaison is being sought out. McDonald Co Jail is going well. House of Hope presentations have been covered so far. At this time we need someone to cover the 3rd Thursday of the month. If we cannot find someone we will look at dropping the 3rd Thurs. and keeping the 1st and 5th Thurs. To GSRs Please ask your group members if any one hold a VIC (volunteer in corrections) card Reg is trying to compile a list of all card holders for a prison phone list. Please bring all names to next Area meeting. If anyone is interested in getting a VIC card please contact Renita G or Kenny C We are on the Are phone list
Literature Review – vacant
Public Information - PI has held 2 meetings so far. We voted in a Vice Chair and Secretary. I was gone to New Mexico during regionals and Vice Chair was unable to attend due to transportation problem. I have no report from Reg. Linda R is Vice Chair and Joe R is Secretary. We are currently working on a list of new literature racks to go out and trying to find out where the existing ones are at. Sincerely, Bruce Addict
HOLP – Hello Ozark Area The HOLP / AAS committee met yesterday at WDR at 3:00pm We should have Guidelines to submit for approval next month. We have selected our theme and art work for the picnic. We hammered out the details of the chili cookoffwhich will be held Nov. 13th at the community Building at 7th and Duquesne at the SMB building. We have fliers available for the groups. Our next meeting will be held on Nov. 20th at 3:00pm at WDR. I’d like to Thank everyone for their support. In Grateful service, Linda Q.

Spiritual Principles - Group report for Ozark Area10/17/04 Hello Ozark Area, Spiritual Principals continues to do well. Meetings are held at 618 Jackson in Joplin on Sunday and Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. Birthday meetings are held the last Sunday of the month. This months Birthday celebration will be held on October 31 at 9:30 A.M. Our Wednesday meeting is continuing to grow, last Wednesdays attendance was 25 addicts. Spiritual Principals has an $18 donation for Ozark Area this month ILS, Kevin F
Survivors - Greetings OASC, Survivors meets at 618 Jackson in Joplin mo.Mon-Sat at noon and Fri. at 8:00pm My term as GSR is past being over. Jimmy N. has agreed to step forward. Please welcome him to Area Service next month. ILS Shelie V.
Together in Unity - Mon, Wed, Sun 8pm Fairground estates East Grand Mo. Main office Building May be moving after Nov. 4th to the Episcipal church $40.00 donation. We Do Recover -REPORT TO AREA OCT 16 2004Hello area we do recover meets at 1330 south wall in Joplin 7 nights a week at 8pm. these are open and smoking meetings. And midnight Fri. and Sat. if we have chair people signed up. Our speaker night is the 2nd Fri. of the month at 8pm this meeting is non-smoking. Our birthday night is the last Fri. of the month and is also nonsmoking.$11.00 donation for area this month our group is below prudent reserve In loving service Mark B.

Butterflies are Free - Hello Area, The Butterflies are Free is still being held on Thurs. Nights at 8:00pm at Anderson Housing Authority. We have 5-8 people attending regularly at our meeting Still in need of women support. We will have 4 birthdays celebrated at the end of this month. 1yr, 2yr,5yr,and 10yr. We have a $10.00 donation to Area this month. P.S. Group voted yes to Pam M. as RCM and yes to Jackee C. for Treasurer Hayride cancelled for this year. ILS Allen L.
Fifth Tradition - Hello Area, The 5th Trad. Still meets at 6:30pm every Tue night at 618 Jackson over at the HOLC. Our group is putting on a Halloween bash over behind the praying hands in Webb City Oct. 30th and celebrating 26 yrs of recovery. We do not have a donation this month. See ya at the bash. ILS Don C.
Serenity Group- Hello Area, The Serenity Group meets Monday nights at 8:00pm (except the 2nd Monday).We also meet at 7:00pm on Wednesday nights at 1208 S. Garrison. Attendance is between 3 and 6 addicts. ILS Dennis
Miracles Group - Hello Ozark Area Miracles meets at 4th and Byers at 8:00pm on Tue. This is a closed meeting and on Fri at 6:30pm this is an open meeting. We now have a speaker meeting the 2nd Fri of the month and the last Fri. of the month is our Birthday night. We do not have a donation for Area this month. Thank you Mark J.
Sharing Session:
-Renita H&I discussed Area Giving giving gas allowances to those who have to travel long distances to get to panel
meetings at House of Hope
-Discussed getting literature to the Ozark Center, Ozark center has a budget to purchase these Items.
