Hospitals and Institutions :*H&I is thriving and carrying the message to five facilities, male and female.* H&I subcomittee meeting held @ We Do Sat prior to area continues to have good support from active members and interested individuals- 15 to 20 addicts.* The Liaison to Jasper Co. jail met with the contact officer. At that facility and the second Sat March meetings both males and females were allowed to have presentations. Back on track. * Secretary commented " It is our responsibility to ensure that the individuals that volunteer to assume chair person's duties @ specific presentations understand what commitment is and all that involves." *Liaison to House of Hope - to be commended for his leadership and personal commitment- Thanx Bill W. * N.A. member expressed concern that new guidelines limit exposure to H&I presentations due to the clean time requirement ( sec. E Ozark Subcom. Guidelines). * H&I Subcommittee reminds OZARK AREA GROUPS of the 5th tradition and our primary purpose. H&I Subcommittee needs your continued support to carry the message to addicts who don't have acess to our regularly schedualed meetings- We only keep what we have by giving it away!! * next Subcommittee meeting Sat. prior to area at We Do Recover at 4:30 Alan F Chair

Sharing Session: (1)Discussed overlapping activities in our area, Bruce shared: All of the get togethers at We Do Recover were not in competition of other groups but simply to make sure the doors were open for addicts who are unable to go beyond state lines to the location of the functions. We Do Recover did not charge for these times and they were not functions they did not feel addicts facing legal restraints should be left out especially new comers on holidays(2) Nancy shared: Disunity between groups and functions have become a problem and said we are responsible from area to carry the message. Ray T. shared: Lets stop the competitiveness and let's get back to carrying the message and getting unity back and posibly taking inventory at a group level. Jeff B. Shared: Most of the people that are talking about other groups or causing rumor is not here at this Area meeting and that the people in this Area meeting do care and do support our groups and our Area. Chrys Shared: We need to teach new people like our predecessors taught us (3) Danny Had questions about the Traditions within having a function and whether having a function would be self supporting and whether you charge a non-addict for an N.A. function (4) Discussed doing another panel at Carthage schools.Motion: To get Pam M. to get the panel going for the Carthage schools, passed. (5) We need to find out where the lit. racks are around the area and make sure they are being replenished.
(6) Plaque rules, discussed fairness on the plaque rules because some groups are very small and have a hard time getting 3 people together at a time that are members of smaller groups. The rule was changed to needing 2 group members to retrieve plaques from other groups or to get their own back
