ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS:

Chair Report:  Hello Ozark Area:                                                                                                         7/21/07

I’m sorry I didn’t make last month’s OASC meeting.  I had forgotten that I already had signed up and paid for a ride to Oklahoma.  When we changed the meeting to Saturday from Sunday.  It is a real blessing to be able to leave the chair in the very capable hands of the vice chair.  Thank you very much Shelie.  ILS Kenny C

Vice-Chair Report:  Greetings OASC:                                                                                                 7/21/07

I did inform Don G after last month’s OASC that Steve S would serve as H&I Interim this month and I informed Don that Steve was nominated for the H&I Chair position.

This past month I attended meetings in Joplin.  I attended a jail meeting with Pam this past Tuesday.  And this past Thursday I met Pete at 3rd & Virginia for the 9am Book Study meeting at C-Star.  NA continues to welcome new and returning members into our fellowship.

Earlier today I facilitated the joint subcommittee meeting from 1:30pm- 3:15pm.  Several addicts attended this joint subcommittee meeting.  It seemed to go well.  H&I Interim Steve S was not present.

In August the subcommittees have decided to have a joint subcommittee meeting again preferably on a Saturday before area other the August 18th since But Do It has planned their group function on that day.

Thank you, those of you who have been emailing your reports to me.  This does save me some work.  GSRs – PLEASE be sure I have a mailing address and a phone number for a contact person for your group whether it is you or someone else.  Just add a note to the end of your report today and I will update my records.  ILS - Shelie V, OASC Vice Chair

SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS:

AASCReport to OASC:

AASC met as a part of the joint subcommittee mtg.  All members were present.  Everything for the HOLP is on track.  The only obstacle we are facing is the flooded campground that will not be open until the 2nd week of August.  We have found and alternative campground, Harry S Truman State Park.  We have reserved 4 sites for the newcomers.  The rest of this report was verbal.

In Loving (but stressed out) Service, Renita G

PIHello Area:

The PI subcommittee met prior to this meeting today, I feel that I have been very busy off and on all month getting things done for this month’s meeting.  I have been working on getting information for the PSA reports and unfortunately I had a lot of wrong information to go on, but I feel that I am on the right track now, so I will get some information this coming Monday.  I had no idea on how to come up with this information and I have been asking other people but then when I was getting now where I just opened the phone book and started calling everybody I could think of to get the information I need, but the person I need to talk to won't be available till Monday as she has been out of the office.  I have gotten all of the literature racks filled in Joplin, and I will find out today if Michael Bodine got them filled in Neosho.

I called Jackie on the phoneline calls, and we had 20 incoming calls and 5 forwarded calls.  She gave Bruce the print out at the subcommittee earlier today.  I am also sending a paper around for any corrections that need to be made as far as new phone numbers addresses email addresses or changes in old groups or any new group information that I need to give to the webmaster.  I am also asking for nominations for the PI Vice Chair position, and also PI Secretary position is also needing to be filled.  If anyone would like to nominate anyone for either of these positions it would be greatly appreciated.  Please support your area if possible.  ILS  - Sandee A

Webmaster Report for July read by PI Chair:

The website is running fine, with everything updated. Nothing new to report.   My term as webmaster for Ozark Area NA is up in October, and I will not be available to fill the position after that time.  I am very, very grateful for the opportunity to serve the Ozark Area as website coordinator for the last seven years. Thank you for letting me serve.  Below is the pertinent information for the position of Webmaster, per PI Guidelines.  It would be helpful if this information could be announced to the groups, and if there are interested people in the position, I'd be more than willing to train somebody, if that's needed.

The Website Coordinator's duties include:

  10. Attend Ozark Area business meetings as directed by the ASC.

I'm sure everyone knows this, but the info was probably unclear in my report.  Debra B Have a nice day!
