OASC JULY MINUTES
Meeting opened at 2:00 p.m. with serenity prayer.
Sandee read the twelve traditions.
Cara read the twelve concepts.
Roll Call: Administration Officers present, Chair was absent. Vice Chair,
RCM, Treasurer, were present. Secretary and RCM Alt. are vacant.
Subcommittee Chairs present, AWAM, H&I, HOLP 2003, Outreach is vacant.
Literature Review, and PI were present. Groups present are Fifth Tradition,
Miracles, Together in Unity, Spiritual Principals, Survivors, But Do It,
We Do Recover, Just For Today and Never Alone were present.
Butterflies Are Free was absent.
Approval of last months minutes approved with corrections.
Administration Reports:
Chair: No Report.
Vice Chair. No Report.
Treasure: Current Bank Balance is $ 709.98. Please see attached.
RCM:
I still do not have the minutes from April’s region. If any group has votes
On motions or regional positions you can give them to me today. RSC is

Subcommittee Report:
AWAM:
Hello Ozark Area, I’m Sandee, AWAM chair, On July 5th, we had the
AWAM function, UNITY DAY which went very well. We collected
$ 434.10 total cash at the door, and $ 236.17 were our total expenses,
the $ 100.00 check issued to me for expenses were out of the AWAM
account, so we have a total of $ 297.93 donation to deposit at area.
The expense sheet is attached to my report if any body would like to see it.
I also figured up the amount of clean time that the people had that signed in,
And we had 293 years of recovery for the 69 people that signed in, and I know
That there were several people there that didn’t sign in. I want to thank

H&I:
Greetings Ozark Aera. Alan addict serving as chair. H&I is alive and well in
OZARK AREA. We provide meetings @ 5 institutions, carry 18-20 H&I
Presentations a month, depending on the availability at Newton county jail.
We had our subcommittee meeting July 13th @ 11:45 @ We Do,
13 subcommittee members were in attendance… We discussed inmate/client
participation. Roger, Chris & Vice Chair are in the process of consolidating
our list for jail & treatment centers. Chair anounced tintitide date July 26th
12 noon. H&I chair workshop at the HOLP picnic. If you chair a
presentation & are available. Please come be part of…..
The need for lituratur- Chair & Brian C. will make a list to be approved or

P.I.
P.I. is going well. I have the rest of the meeting schedules here. A new
Printing will happen prior to my resignation next month. We have a phone
Log from the answering service consisting of eleven pages. We received 96
Calls in May & June. We must be doing a good job in H&I, in our group
Meetings, and in P.I. I have receipts I found totaling $ 26.95 for flyers
For flyer day , copies of training materials and poster board for the pig
Roast workshops that didn’t happen.
Our next subcommittee meeting will be Aug. 16th 2003 @ 4:00 p.m.

Group Reports:
Hello Ozark Area. Miracles group meets on Fridays @ 6:30 p.m.
Located at the First Methodist Church, 501 west fourth, Joplin, Mo. Room
106. Our meeting attendance is steady fifteen to twenty-five addicts per
meeting. This coming Friday is our birthday speaker meeting. Charlie B.
will be picking up his seven year medallion, and Lynn L. will be picking
up his eight year medallion, and I would still like to announce that Miracles
Group is having their one year birthday campout. This will be Saturday,
September 20, at Big Elk Camp in Pineville, Missoui. Kenny C. will be
Speaking and we also have T-shirts, $ 12.00 for the S-XL ones and
$14.00 for the 2XL-3XL. We will also be having a workshop and a
Gratitude campfire meeting, come celebrate recovery with us. We
Have a $14.00 donation this month.

Hello Ozark Aera, Together In Unity group meets every night at 8:00 p.m.
At 427 N. Cedar in Nevada Mo. Attendance is ranging 8-19 addicts. We would

Hello Area, We Do Recover, meets at 1330 Wall in Joplin. Our meetings
Are Mon.-Sun. at 8:00 p.m. and Fri. and Sat. at midnight. Meeting attendance
Is down and so are our donations. So we haven’t got an area donation.
After area we are having a function at McCelland Park and Pam M. will be
Speaking and food will be free.

price on recovery” picnic. The picnic will be Sat. Sept. 6th.
speaker will be Pat D. from Joplin. This is a free picnic, but we
ask that you bring a covered dish. If you have any raffle items

Never Alone:
Good afternoon area. The Never Alone group is doing
Well right now. We are located at 405 7th st. Our meeting is
held in the basement of the St. Lawence Catholic Church.
Meeting time is 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. All of our meetings
Are closed except the last Tuesday of each month which is
Birthday night. Our meetings are non-smoking. Our
Business meeting has been moved to the 3rd Tuesday of
Each month following our regular meeting. We have a five

8-10 addicts per meeting and I’m sorry to report that we don’t
have an area donation this month.
